In the early 1990s a group of friends got together on a Friday evening to play guitars and sing. In 1995 two members of this informal group, Michael Barnes and Rick Pearce formed the Country duo Cheyenne and they stayed together for six years working mainly on the club circuit. Michael Barnes, who was 10 years older than Rick, also joined a comedy act for a while as part of a trio. Cheyenne released a 16 track CD album called A New Beginning. As club attendance began to decline Rick Pearce decided to go solo and Rick Storm was born.
